Yao Shin Leather Co. Ltd. was first established in 1981 as Mei Shin Industrial Co. marketing leather wallets and leather products made from rare animal hides, as well as contract manufacturing leather jackets for state-operated and private groups.

In 1992, for the cause of expansion and change of operational strategies, Mei shin Industrial Co. became Yao Shin Co. Ltd. that focuses on the marketing of cow leather, including products as shoe leather, handbag leather, sofa leather and leather for automobile contact manufacturers. Finish leather are mainly imported from the United States , Germany, Italy, Brazil and Spain. Imported rawhides are solely from steer and milk cows in Texas and California, USA. The high standard process of leather manufacturing originated from Italy and Germany.
